Mountain plateau Forollhogna National Park is the goal of this 11-day guided mountain ski hiking. We explore an untouched sea of snow and ice on classic wooden skis and where we eventually become familiar with the outstanding natural world.
The vast highlands of Forollhogna National Park are the goal of this 11-day guided back-country-skitour. We explore this untouched sea of snow and ice on traditional wooden skis and get acquainted with an outstanding natural world over time.
In an exclusive small group we rove the wintry tundra, wandering from lodge to logde. We comply with the elemental forces wind, weather and snow and navigate by natural signs and clues in the landscape. By tracking wild reindeer, wolverine and arctic fox we get to know the lives of these extraordinary animals which master a subarctic climate. We get accommodation in hunting lodges scattered over the land. The adventurous ones can spend a night outside under a sky full of twinkling stars. Step by step and day by day we get more familiar with the exceptional world of Forollhogna, as our connection to nature grows.
Wilderness Life organises guided wilderness trips. The hiking, back-country-skiing and canoeing tours offer a safe opportunity for personal wilderness experiences. Some tours are suitable for families with children and youngsters. Customized tours are available.
Wilderness Life also organises Wilderness Camps - Nature Connection Training Courses for individuals, groups and businesses. The programs focus on training wilderness living skills, on fostering our natural relations - the connections to nature, ourselves and community and on unfolding our potential as human beings.
