The web site you’re reading right now just won a Golden Adrian Award. And to top it off, our sheep took home silver.
Amongst more than 1,200 entries from airliners, hotels, social media campaigns and web pages, Visitnorway.com has been awarded a Golden Adrian Award.
The award, annually chosen by the HSMAI Adrian Awards, is presented to outstanding achievements in travel industry marketing.
“The Adrian Awards count amongst the highest accolades in this industry, and we are very proud of what the entire Norwegian travel industry have achieved along with the Visitnorway.com team”, says Anita Krohn Traaseth, CEO of Innovation Norway.
The award caps off a great year for Visitnorway.com that began with a complete site redesign, both visually and content-wise, this January. Larger images and more videos elevate how the site presents the best of Norway, both in terms of cities, food, architecture, design – and, naturally, nature.
“The entire travel industry has contributed through text, photos and products, so this is an award for all of us”, Visitnorway.com head Hans Petter Aalmo says.
As if one prize wasn’t enough, Visit Norway took home a silver award for another entry – the social media campaign #Sheepwithaview, wherein four grazing sheep share the best of what they come across with the world. Along the way, they also raise awareness of one of Norway’s most essential laws – the right to roam.
Got paparazzi'd on set. I guess that's the price of fame 😜 -Frida, #SheepWithAView 🐏🇳🇴

The campaign was deemed “exceptional” by a jury consisting of experts from both the media and travel industries.
