Geilo-Kikut-Tuva
Demanding tour into the Hardangervidda!
From Geilojordet you will past Geilo Riding Centre and keep to the right. This will take you to the old road, Gamle Skurdalsvegen, which runs to highway 40. From there you will travel past Kikut Fjellstue and down into Skurdalen. At Hovde turn to Nedrestøl/Tuva. Follow the road to Nedrestøl and continue ascending from the toll road until you reach the high mountain. After about 3 km the road flattens out, surrounded by wonderful scenery with mountain views in every direction. 24 km after your starting point you will reach Tuva Tourist Cabin at the end of the road. Tuva is one of Hardangervidda’s oldest tourist cabins. Now it is time for a well-earned rest before travelling the next 24 km, back to Geilo.
Our tip is to try the waffles before embarking on the 24 km journey back to Geilo.

Terrain: asphalt, mountain road, and gravel
Tips: Bring windproof clothing
Season: from July until the first snow, check if the road is open and free of snow!
