Things to do

Getting here and around

By plane:
  • Sandefjord Airport Torp is the nearest airport, located about one hour drive from Skien. The airport has an extensive network of routes covering other parts of Norway and much of Europe.
By road:
  • The motorway E18, the main road of Eastern and Southern Norway, passes through Grenland.
  • From Oslo buses go to Skien and Porsgrunn, with onward connections to the coastal towns.
By train:
  • There are regular departures with NSB (the Norwegian State Railways) from Oslo to Porsgrunn and Skien, with good connections to the Sørlandsbanen and Bergensbanen regional railways.
