Hallingmo: Renslotunet outdoor area in Gol

Renslotunet, once inhabited until the 1960s, has now transformed into an outdoor area managed by Gol municipality. This charming place, formerly a crofter's cottage under southern Hesla, has been preserved and is now open to both young and old.
Renslotunet is a gathering place for enjoyable moments – while the little ones have fun on the slopes, adults can light up the fire pit right next to the cozy lean-to.
The latest addition to Renslo is a fantastic lean-to with a fire pit, part of a network of four centrally located fire pits in Gol. This initiative, spearheaded by mental health, provides tourists and locals unique opportunities to appreciate nature and create memories together.
Renslo, with its old farmstead, meadows, and forest, has been under municipal ownership since 1979. Before and after the municipality took charge, the place served as a hiking area and a venue for cultural activities. In 1976, Renslo hosted the national assembly of the Noregs Ungdomslag, and since then, it has been a hub for cultural events.
The outdoor toilet is built to accommodate both big and small, with two doors—one high and one low—and two seats for both long-legged and short-legged people. It's a humorous and practical approach to the essentials!
Bring the family, invite your friends, or enjoy a quiet moment alone. Renslotunet welcomes everyone!
