Since the mid-1990s, there has been ice rink activity at Golsfjellet. In 2009, operations were regulated through a development plan owned by Golsfjellet Outmarkslag SA, a landowner-owned company that works to develop and manage the natural resources and promote Golsfjellet as an agricultural and tourism area.
In 2015, the development plan was revised, allowing for the creation of ice rinks over a larger area than before. The Tisleifjorden ice rink can develop an area of approximately 1930 decares located at the northwestern end of Tisleifjorden. The ice rink is accessible from Auenhauglie on Golsfjellet.
Along with the delineation of the area, the development plan sets guidelines for operations through an operational instruction approved by the municipality as part of the development plan. The customer group using the ice rink remains relatively consistent from year to year and is divided into: 50% professional clients (car dealerships/tire dealers/driving schools), 40% emergency services (police and ambulance), and 10% individual groups (car clubs and companies wishing to train their employees).
The Tisleifjorden ice rink is a so-called "professional" ice rink, where our clients primarily use the rink as a tool for training their employees or offering their customers training and introduction to driving systems in new cars, etc.
