Nedre Hesthovda

Nice family hike that starts on gravel road then on good trail.

Start the hike by driving district Road Fv. 244 to Vatsfjorden. Follow the mountain road past Langegard, towards Sirestølen. Exit to the left by Hausestølen and drive to Sirestøltjørne. Toll road.

First through birch forest then in open mountain terrain with amazing view. At the top 1192 meters above sea level you can look down on Vatsfjorden and parts of Vats. Commemorative plaque from the 2nd world war south of Sirestøltjørna and at the top.
