On the eastern side and west side of Nesbyen there are many great trails that are ideal for downhill and freeride cycling. The trails are characterized by good flow and variety. By Norwegian scale, the paths are exceptionally well arranged for bike riding, especially on the eastern side.
The warm and dry climate in the summer keeps the trails generally dry and fine. In the sunny hillsides above the town center, the trails are often bare around Easter, while cross-country skiing is still possible 15 minutes away by car.
The terrain is another factor on our side. Within Nesbyen you can choose to cycle steep and technical challenging trails straight down the east side of the town center, or you can aim for the more moderate trails that you will find spread around, both in the east and west hillsides and in Nes Sørmark. On the high mountains you have a huge network of trails which slings into the mountains, with opportunities to climb tops along the way.
