Details

Visit beautiful Rosendal on a day trip from Bergen. The tour is available all year. See the village, the rose garden at the Barony or go hiking.

Boat cruise from Bergen to Rosendal (round-trip). The cruise takes about two hours one way, and you can spend 3 1/2 hours in Rosendal, where you can stroll around this beautiful village, visit the Barony Rosendal and its rose garden, The Folgefonn Centre or go for a walk in lovely scenery. You can take the boat one way only or as a round trip, returning to Bergen on the same day. (Entry tickets not included).

Folgefonna Center:
At Folgefonna Center you can learn about Folgefonna National Park, climate change, nature diversity and sustainable use of natural resources. In the interactive exhibition you can learn about the interaction between man and nature. The Folgefonna Center is located close to where the boat docks, in the center of Rosendal. Here you will also find Tourist Information.

Barony Rosendal (not open summer 2020, but the landscape park is open):
In the summer months you can also visit the Barony in Rosendal, which is Scandinavia's smallest castle and the only one of its kind in the country. The castle is within walking distance to the center of Rosendal and is famous for its magnificent landscape park with the rose garden and a rich cultural program with concerts, bourgeois theater, lectures and art exhibitions. There is also a nice garden cafe next to the herb garden.

NB: Please note that entry tickets for the Folgefonna Center is not included. 

The boat also stops at Flesland and Os on its way to and from Rosendal.

Boat departure Rosendal at 14:25, arrival Bergen at 16:20
Departure in Bergen is close to Tourist Information at the Strandkai terminal.

Itinerary Saturday & Sunday 1 May to 30 September 2020:
Boat departure Bergen at 11:00, arrival Rosendal at 12:55
Boat departure Rosendal at 16:35, arrival Bergen at 18:25
Departure in Bergen is close to Tourist Information at the Strandkai terminal.
