On this tour you can cycle along the Hardangerfjord on the beautiful 25 km stretch between Utne and Herand.
Your can start this tour from the bus station in Bergen or from the quay in Norheimsund. It is about one minute walk from the bus stop to the boat in Norheimsund.
When arriving in Utne, you are provided with a bicycle, helmet and reflective vest for the trip. You haveapprox 7 hours at your disposal to cycle the 25 km long stretch between Utne and Herand. Normallt this takes about 3 hours, so you have lots of time to explore.
In Utne we recommend a stop at Hardanger Museum. Utne is also the only place on your way that has a grocery store, so we recommend that you purchase food and beverages here. 5 km on your way, you will arrive a small village called Lothe. Here you will find a beautiful beach, and are allowed to take a swim. As your approach Herand, you must climb a long hill. This takes about 30 minutes. We recommend you make time for a short stop in Herand, which has been voted Norway`s most beautiful village, with its well preserved cultural landscape and wonderful location. Here you can see rock carvings from the Bronze Age, walk on historical paths, inspect water-driven gate saws, or sample the delicious food at the Meieriet Restaurat. If any time left, it is also possible to take a swim before bording the express boat back to Norheimsund, and then bus back to Bergen.
Should there be an accident or other unforeseen occurrence on the cycle trip, you can call our service telephone on +4797164700. We recommend this trip for children above age 10.
