Scandic Strand has the best location in Bergen and the most magnificent view in the city. From many of the rooms you can, among other things, see the famous Fish Market, Bryggen with its characteristic old Hanseatic wharfside wooden warehouses, the inner harbour and Mount Fløien.
We offer a wide range of hotel rooms, ranging from superior and family rooms to standard single and double rooms. Common to all categories of rooms is our wish for each room to have an individual character, and to be comfortable and contain all the amenities that our guests expect to find in a modern city hotel.
The Budget Single rooms are small rooms, equipped with minibar, pay TV, free wireless internet and a private bathroom.
Our Superior rooms are for those who want a larger and more comfortable room. Most rooms overlook the inner harbour and the Fish Market, and also contains a separate sofa group. A few rooms have ship's floor and slate and are decorated with beautiful maritime details to give each room an individual character. Our Superior rooms are large, attractive rooms.
Scandic Strand has five junior suites which vary in size and content. One of them has been furnished with a conference table, providing an intimate atmosphere for small meetings of up to eight people. All our junior suites have those «little extras» that help create a pleasant atmosphere during your stay at the hotel. The junior suites offer wonderful views of some of Bergen's main attractions, such as the Fish Market and historical Bryggen. Junior Suites have large airy rooms with a desk and sitting group.
All our rooms are equipped with minibar, pay TV and free wireless internet, and a private bathroom.
The bar "Femte I Andre" is a natural meeting place in the hotel. It has been designated one of the best bars in Norway because of its wide selection and expertise, and is very popular with guests and locals alike. It is also known as the haunt of fictional private investigator Varg Veum!
