Easy hike to Seljebøvatnet in Ålvundfjord

Enjoy a beautiful view of Seljebøvatnet with a large shelter and barbecue area. In summer, you can rent a canoe here. In winter, the lake often has great ice for skating.

Seljebøsaga is located about 1 km from Ålvundfossen towards Tingvoll (before the sign for the 60 km/h zone). Parking is clearly marked.
You can also take the bus: Take bus 901 between Sunndalsøra and Kristiansund, get off at the stop Fuglevågen Ulvund Kraft. Walk east and south along highway 70 for about 500 meters. Turn right at Seljebøsaga. The hike starts from the parking lot, about 250 meters up the forest road.

Start from Seljebøsaga and follow the new forest road. It’s an easy hike lasting 30-45 minutes. When the road splits further up the hill, take the road to the right. Over the hilltop, a narrow path leads left. Follow this path for about 100 meters to the shelter and the lake. The trail is well-marked.
