Freikollen is a popular summit both for locals and visitors. It is an amazing view from the summit, and you can see the city, the islands and ocean surronding it all.

From the parking place there is a gravel road up to a small house. From the starting point is the path to the top of Freikollen. Follow the road past the house and up the ski hill, where the path is clearly visible on the right side of the hill. On top of the ski hill follow the trail that goes to the right. The trail is now in steep terrain with rocks and roots that surface and dense forest. Eventually it becomes more open and the top can be seen. Along the way there are several cairns showing the way to the top.

The tour is a demanding trail with steep sections toward the end.
