Gurisenter is a regional cultural and coastal pilgrimage center offering experiences and activities for the whole family. The center is located at the ferry dock and arrival point to Smøla.
Edøya is a cultural heritage site in beautiful natural surroundings. In the area, you’ll find cultural walks, swimming spots, and activities for the whole family. Specially designed for families and children. Gurisenter also offers guided tours.
Play and activities for the whole familyAt Gurisenter, old stories are told in new ways. Join in a treasure hunt, guided tour, a journey to Edøystjerna, or an escape room at the Old Edøy Church, and much more. Gurisenter includes an exhibition, café, changing rooms, and shower facilities.
Norway's warmest outdoor play: "Fru Guri of Edøy"Every summer in week 28, you can experience the outdoor play "Fru Guri of Edøy." The story, written by Smøla native Peggy Kruse, takes place on Edøygarden in the 1100s. The exciting tale will stay with you throughout the summer. At Gurisenter, there’s a beautiful amphitheater in stunning surroundings. Join in a journey through time.
