Kvernberget in Kristiansund
Kvernberget (205 m.a.s.l) is a small mountain, really close to the city center of Kristiansund. The hike is easy, a little hilly and you will easily find the path from the parking place. Good view on the top. About 20 min walk one way.
This trip starts at the car park and goes up on Kvernberget.
2 ways upYou can choose to walk the Sherpa stairs which, start at the very beginning of the trail and goes all the way to the top which is at 205 m.o.h. You may also walk the west side of the mountaing on sherpa stairs so it will be a roundtour.
Sherpa stairs makes this trip more accesible for elderly and those having trouble walking in nature path.
You can also choose to walk a nice path that is parallel to the stairs. The top is visible from the start and it is easy to follow the path to the top. It is an easy trail. A little hilly, but only about 20 min in total to walk up to the top.
At the top you can look out over the sea, mountains, fjords and cities in all directions. Quite a small effort for maximum views.
