Mountain bike adventure at Svartnakken at Aukra

The vast trail network criss-crossing the region is perfect for MTB-lovers, with its varying levels of difficulty and challenges. If you manage to catch the sunset on your way down Svartnakken, you are in for an epic ride!

Be prepared for a steep climb on a gravel road at the beginning of the trail, which eventually transitions into a singletrack. Although there will be a bit of pushbike at the beginning, the ride across Svartnakken will be worth the struggle!

Pedal 300 meters from the parking lot by the old school in Julsundet (Fanghol), direction Molde. Make a left turn down the gravel road to Hola, where you will find the trailhead by the information board. Make a right after passing through the gate and follow Fjellvegen all the way to the top of the hill, before continuing straight past the dam and further down the trail. Make a left turn about 500 meters before the trail starts ascending again and work your way through a wet area that eventually ends up on a dry trail. Make another left onto the trail leading up Svartnakken when your current trail starts descending.

The panoramic view from the top of Svartnakken is stunning, and the ride down Svartnakken is one for the memory books! In order to preserve the trails, try staying off the trails on wet and rainy days, and watch out for hikers on your way down the mountain!
