Travel like the locals!
The first part of this round trip goes from Kristiansund by bus to Seivika and onboard the ferry to Tømmervåg on the island of Tustna. The bus continues across Tustna to Sandvika ferry harbor. At Sandvika you leave the bus and take the ferry from Sandvika to Edøy ferry harbor.
At Edøy you have some time to look around, and you can see the old church at Edøy and the great outdoor amphitheater used for the “Fru Guri av Edøy” (“Lady Guri of Edøy") historic play that is performed every summer.
From Edøy, the trip continues to Hottranklakken at Veiholmen. The fishing village of Veiholmen is located towards the northernmost tip of Smøla and is linked to the main island by a road that with its bridges, landfills and protective breakwaters is an adventure in itself. Veiholmen is a lively fishing village with fishing boats arriving with their catch, and the seagulls and sea eagles hovering overhead in their quest for food.
You may take a walk through the narrow streets, visit a café, museum or exhibition. Or you can simply enjoy the ocean view. Veiholmen is fascinating in all kinds of weather!
The trip back to Kristiansund goes along the same route as when you arrived, with a bus to Edøy, ferry to Sandvika and bus and ferry back to Kristiansund traffic terminal.
