Through exciting experiences on land and at sea, visitors at Salmon Centre Molde get an insight in modern and sustainable production of Norwegian farmed salmon.
What technology does the industry use? What is a smolt and what does salmon food actually smell like? At our viewing center you will get the answer. We guide our visitors through our interactive exhibition, providing a broad introduction to the Norwegian aquaculture industry.
Among other things, you will see how SalMar remotely feeds its breeding facilities using high-tech solutions, as well as explore how genetics can be used as a tool to breed healthy and good food fish.
We also offer a fast-paced RIB trip out to the farmed salmon's home - the sea facility at the Romsdalsfjord. Here you can see with your own eyes how the salmon live in the cage.
