Hike with a guide in the Kingdom of Romsdal

The characteristic landscape of Romsdalen makes every hike a memorable adventure, but also a challenge that shouldn't be underestimated. The scenery is spectacular, with airy peaks and routes that require the use of ropes. Be aware that there are no facilities in this terrain.

Romsdal's certified mountain guides (IFMGA) ensure your safe passage to Bispen. The guides are professional in mountains and climbing, and they add an extra dimension to your adventures by sharing their knowledge of history, geology, botany, and the natural world.

Parts of the car road from Åndalsnes to Trollstigen are closed, but the mountains remains open

The famous Trollstigen hairpin bends are closed until the end of 2024, but with a guide, you can safely reach the top of Kongeriket Romsdal via alternative trails.

Kongeriket Romsdal is accessible via Kløvstien or from Valldal.

The Kløvstien trail avoids the unsafe area along Trollstigen road, offering an exclusive and unique experience of Trollstigen. With a nature guide accompanying you, you get both safety and extra insights into nature and history along the way.

Kløvstien ends at the Trollstigplatået and the spectacular viewpoint, where you can enjoy the view of the Norwegian Senic Route with its 11 hairpin bends. The return trip goes down the same path you came up. The hike up Kløvstien will extend the Kingdom hikes by 1-2 hours.
