Veøya means «the holy island» and there are visbile traces of pre-Christian cults. It has Norways oldest proven Christian graves dated to the 9th century, an 11th-century medieval stone church, a vicarage from 1750 and beautiful cultural landscape. This experience is perfect for the ones interested in history, culture and archeology.
