Garen Camping is situated on the Hardangervidda along route 7, 750 metres above sea level. It is close to the river Bjoreio, with a beautiful view of the plateau and the mountains.
There are 28 cabins. 8 large cabins that sleep 6-8 persons, and 20 smaller cabins that sleep 3-4 persons. There is also a large camping area with electric outlets available. Common kitchen facilities, laundry room, sauna, bathrooms, barbeque area, TV-room and a small grocery store. Garen is a perfect starting point for shorter or longer hikes on the Hardangervidda. You will find excellent walking terrain and several good areas for fishing and hunting. In the wintertime there are alpine slopes and cross country tracks nearby. Garen is 3 kilometres from the Vøringsfossen waterfall, 12 kilometres from Øvre Eidfjord and 20 kilometres from Eidfjord.
