Hike to Kjeåsen View Point
Steep path where you have to use ropes, poles and ladders as necessary aids along the way.
Fantastic views in several places along the trail, and reaching the view point is the award after the effort.
Important Information!
Kjeåsen is private property, and it is important for tourists to show respect by staying on the trails. Dogs must be kept on a leash, and dog waste and other litter must be picked up and taken with you or disposed of in the trash bin near the tunnel.
The car road to Kjeåsen is open from 01.04. – 31.10 - subject to small / normal amounts of snow, might open later and /or close earlier due to snow, ice and weather conditions. When hiking to Kjeåsen, please pay attention to weather and conditions.

Sima powerplant, 6.5 km from the centre of Eidfjord
About the trail
Make a left and walk along the fjord towards Kjeaneset (a boat house). At Kjeaneset make a right and follow the trail up the very steep mountain side. Ropes and ladders on parts of the trail. Do NOT hike when the trail is wet or covered with snow or ice. Some parts are slippery, and this hike requires hiking boots and great caution.
Be aware of steep cliffs. Great views along the trail and from Kjeåsen.
Currently there is no sale of food and drinks at Kjeåsen. Please respect private areas.
