The hike to Kråkestien starts at the soccer field in Lofthus, just above Hardanger folkehøgskule. To get there, park at the sports house by the soccer field and walk along the outside of the soccer field to the end before turning up into the terrain. You'll pass a cultivated area with fruit trees – walk along the side of the trees and you will find the Sherpa steps at the end of the fruit trees.
Kråkestien is a moderately demanding hike that starts steeply uphill but flattens out towards the top point, Veteheldesnipa. From there, you'll get a fantastic view of Lofthus and Sørfjorden in both directions.
