1466 masl

Starting from Freim:
There is parking towards the end of the residential area. Follow the dirt road to the sign for Freimsstølen. You will be walking through a wooded area until you reach 900 masl. Follow the signs and red T's from Freimsstølen to Møyfallsnuten. The steepest part of the hike is the first part up to Freimsstølen.

Starting from Skjeggedal:
Drive to Tyssedal and continue to Skjeggedal. Drive across the dam. Park here. Follow the T's through pine and birch forests. After a 500 meter ascent, you will have reached Mosdalen. Lake Mosdalsvatnet is at 993 masl and the Mosdalsbua cabin is situated on the northern side of the lake. The path is fairly steep from the lake until you reach a small plateau. There is another steep ascent. The rest of the hike is partly in scree terrain. When you reach the top of the scree, the trail flattens before the last ascent and you can see the cairn. Splendid views towards Hårteigen, Sørfjorden, Folgefonna and Odda. It is possible to continue down to Freimsstølen and Freim/Odda. The hike can also be done in the opposite direction.
