Ogna Gje Jazz! Festival presents:

Bendik Hofseth is coming to Ogna Scene, joined by guitarist Knut Reiersrud and percussionist Sidiki Camara!

Hofseth is a versatile musician, renowned as a saxophonist, composer, and singer. His debut album IX was ranked among Norway’s 100 greatest albums by Morgenbladet in 2011.

Having collaborated with legends like John McLaughlin, Andy Summers (The Police), Rickie Lee Jones, and Bobby McFerrin, he gained global recognition as a member of Steps Ahead.

In recent years, he released the acclaimed Forest Quadrilogy, a tribute to nature. Now, you have a rare chance to experience him live in a unique musical setting.

Joining him on stage is Knut Reiersrud, one of Norway’s most respected guitarists. A virtuoso in blues, jazz, and folk music, he has performed with icons like Dr. John and Buddy Guy. His concerts are known for their technical brilliance and passion.

Sidiki Camara, a master of African rhythms, brings a global dimension to the trio. With roots in Mali’s National Ballet, he has made his mark on both Norwegian and international jazz. In 2023, he won the Spellemann Award for traditional music. He now plays regularly with Karpe. His energetic percussion adds depth and pulse to the performance.

This special evening at Ogna Scene blends jazz, blues, and West African rhythms, promising an extraordinary concert experience.

ARE YOU COMING BY TRAIN?

It's not a long walk from Ogna station to Ogna Scene (15 min) but with Ogna Scene's Shuttle bus service, they pick up and drop off their fantastic audience members who are going to Ogna Scene at Ogna train station completely free of charge.

They arrange it so that those who take the train from Stavanger will be picked up at 18.50 (approx.). From Egersund 19.36 (approx.).

They will also bring you to the station after the concert.

Ogna Scene wants to make it easy and comfortable for you.

NB. They only have one car... If there are many people to be driven, there may be a 5-10 minute wait.
