"Don’t judge a book by its cover," the saying goes. But in the exhibition Bibliofilia, that’s exactly what everyone is doing.
Have one ever stopped to consider how a book is put together? Is the spine glued or stitched? Is the cover made of cardboard or perhaps leather? Was it crafted by a machine or by a skilled hand?

In Bibliofilia, visitors can explore the history of bookbinding and how the craft has evolved. They’ll see examples of various binding styles—from artist’s books and deluxe editions of recent years to unique bindings made from 15th-century parchment. They can even try your hand at the craft!
