Stavanger Big Band
Stavanger Big Band is Stavanger’s oldest permanent big band. The band works hard to maintain a high level, attracting many of the region’s leading jazz musicians and dedicated vocalists.

Their repertoire features classic big band music by Duke Ellington and Count Basie, as well as standard songs brought to life by Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra. Modern jazz, pop, rock, blues, funk, Latin, samba, soul, and more are also part of the programme.

Dalane Big Band
Dalane Big Band is known for its funky and groovy style. While playing jazz classics, blues, and ballads, the band shines most in tunes that highlight percussion, bass, keyboard, and soloists.

The horn section features full-bodied saxophones, powerful trombones, and energetic trumpets. A live performance is a must for first-time listeners.

Orstad Big Band
Orstad Big Band always brings surprises. What will happen is revealed when the band takes the stage and unfolds while performing – best experienced live.

Sandnes Big Band
Sandnes Big Band celebrates its 40th anniversary on 17 October. The Big Band Bonanza concert will feature highlights from the jubilee performance.

Re-established in 1985 (originally formed in 1970), Sandnes Big Band is a veteran ensemble. Four members are over 70, several in their 60s, and the younger musicians are in their 40s and 50s. A rich musical legacy combines with unwavering joy in performance.
