The City Orchestra is a musical concept at Bekkis where we have a regular house band that invites a special guest each time. City Orchestra Volume 5, with Gunnar Tønnessen, Hege Kristin Kjærvoll, Silje Sandanger, and Per Haarr.

Gunnar Tønnesen has run Klepp Sound Studio for 33 years and has been involved in much of the music scene in the southern county as a technician, producer, arranger, and musician. Jærrock, Lappeteppe, Olav Larsen & The Alabama Rodeo Stars, Tønes, Concentus, Jæren Chamber Choir, Brian Torgersen, Synnøve Grøtteland, Watershed, Blue Cordettes, Tristania, and many more in various expressions and genres have all combined their talents and experiences with Tønnesen, releasing countless albums.

Hege Kristin is a trained classical singing teacher from the Conservatory in Stavanger and has participated in countless performances throughout her career. To name a few: soloist in a private event for H.M King Harald and H.M Queen Sonja, participated in the TV2 program "Stjerner i Sikte", soloist with Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Sandnes Symphony Orchestra, soloist at the Seamen's Church in New York, sung in several bands, including opening bands for Willie Nelson and Jerry Lee Lewis. She is currently active in 2 bands: the Eva Cassidy tribute band Wayfaring Strangers and her own symphonic rock/metal band, Infinitum.

Silje Sandanger has been involved in music for twenty years. After her first poem at nine and her first melody a decade later, she has continued to write, play, and sing through life's good and bad stories. She has two album releases to her name, several singles, and was critically acclaimed for her participation in a TV program for songwriters. She creates soul-pop, with a thread from both gospel and church music to the unpolished rawness you often find in street musicians on the corner of a big city.

Per has been actively playing in various bands since he was 15 years old. In recent years, he has played in the band Vrakfeber and released songs under his own name. He is now fully engaged in making his second EP. This evening at Bekkis, he will play songs that have shaped him as a musician, in addition to a couple of his own songs.
