Byorkesteret is a musical concept at Bekkis, where a special guest is invited each time. Hildegunn Gjedrem is a dynamic singer with a broad experience across many styles. Trained in jazz, but pop, singer-songwriter, and soul are equally prominent in her voice.

Hildegunn has performed at festivals and clubs throughout much of Europe and the USA. She established herself as an artist in New York for seven years with two albums of her own songs before returning to Norway in 2014. She has toured with Snarky Puppy for many years and has performed with MODS, Morten Abel, Rufus Reid, the One O'Clock Lab Band, and the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, among others. In 2019, she was the face of the Maijazz festival with the project "Voice on Voice." Hildegunn is an experienced and exploratory artist with a great joy for communication and musical range.
