Byorkesteret is a musical concept at Bekkis, featuring a resident band that invites a special guest for each session.

Are has been an active artist and songwriter for a long time, frequently performing in Stavanger and Sandnes. He plays a broad repertoire of well-known songs suited for all. Are also creates his own music, with several songs based on lyrics by Ingvar Hovland. In spring 2025, he will participate in The Voice on TV2.
