"EBBA is pleased to announce that the 8th European Conductor Competition will be held in Stavanger from 4–8 May 2025. Selected conductors will have the chance to lead esteemed regional ensembles. The competition consists of three rounds:

4th May: 1st round at the University of Stavanger – Faculty of Performing Arts

6th May: 2nd round in the Kuppelhallen, Stavanger Concert Hall

8th May: Final in the Kuppelhallen, Stavanger Concert Hall

Stavanger Brass Band
The renowned Stavanger Brass Band, founded in 1981, will perform in the final. A top Norwegian band, they have won ten national titles and numerous international awards. The band actively commissions new music and plays a key role in developing Norway’s brass music scene. Since 2000, they have toured internationally, performing in countries such as the UK, USA, and Japan.
