EDEL BRINGS A FULL BAND TO THE PEOPLE ON THEIR FIRST NORWEGIAN TOUR

EDEL is an up-and-coming soul-rock duo from Stavanger, known for their dynamic interplay and strong vocal harmonies. The duo consists of Vera Ottesen (21) and Malin Stokka (21). On 28 March they will release their debut album ‘Sambucus’. They will mark the occasion by embarking on their first major tour of Norway in April and May. On tour, they will be seen both with a full band and in duo format at venues from north to south.

The album ‘Sambucus’ invites listeners into EDEL's universe filled with contrasts. Intimate melodies meet intense guitars and pulsating energy. The duo emphasises the individual's inner journey towards strength and self-development. This philosophy is a fundamental driving force that also characterises their live music.

Over the past year, they have steadily released new music that has garnered critical acclaim, Urørt recognition and a growing fan base. Their music has made a name for itself among this year's newcomers to Norwegian music, and has received critical acclaim. The single ‘Full Bloom’ received a 6, with the following description: ‘They may seem like newcomers to the industry, but bigger and more confident voices are hard to find in the Norwegian RnB landscape...’ - Mode Steinkjer, Dagsavisen.

2024 was filled with live performances, with the Stavanger girls playing to full houses on several occasions. The reviews of EDEL live say things like ‘Too good for small stages...’ - Vanja Krøvel, Universitas.

Dagsavisen also predicts EDEL as one of the artists that will characterise Norwegian music in 2025, and the duo has big plans for the coming year.
