Famous Debates in the Forest at Checkpoint Charlie
Famous Debates bring noise & chaos to Stavanger! New sounds, old angst, punk-ish noise. All for charity. Come as you are – they sure do.
Get tickets hereStavanger’s oldest misfit teenagers have aged, but not necessarily grown wiser. They’ve crawled out of the basement and started paying rent.
To help navigate this frightening new world, they’ve picked up a new forest wanderer. This promises more debate, more arguing, and most importantly: MORE NOISE.
Whether the noise is slow punk, soft hardcore or hard hard rock remains an eternal topic. Come join the debate!
As always, they don’t deserve your money – but Doctors Without Borders does.
Come as you are – they do.
The Boombox Hearts were relaunched in 2023 after a long pause. Their sound is roughly where the 70s meets indie, twang, jazz and a bit of shoegaze.
This is hand-played music with hearts on sleeves – delicate, odd sounds, modern yet nearly Beatlesque in melody.
The band is currently recording an album, and three new tracks are available (the first single drops in September 2025).
Earlier songs can be found online, including their cover of Springsteen’s Cover Me, sometimes played on Denmark’s DR P6.
