Øyonn Groven Myhren and Marit Karlberg are two of our foremost kvedar with a long list of solo albums, projects, awards and competition victories under their belts. Øyonn is probably best known for his collaboration with Odd Nordstoga on the song ‘Nivelkinn’, and Marit is known to many as one half of the duo Sudan Dudan.
 
Øyonn Groven Myhren and Marit Karlberg were central to the vocal quartet Dvergmål, which released the albums ‘Visor og kvæde frå Blåberglandet’ (Grappa, 1996) and ‘Song i himmelsalar’ (Heilo/Grappa, 2004), the former of which was nominated for the Spellemannpris.

Now, more than 25 years later, the two have picked up the thread again and immersed themselves in hammered dulcimer and hard fiddle tunes from Telemark and Valdres, which they have transferred to a vocal duo format. Expect a varied concert with the narrow concept of two-part hammered dulcimer, supplemented with light tunes and dance songs accompanied by lyre and fiddle.
 
Silje Hegg, from Vinje in Telemark, is one of the foremost performers on the flute. Hegg is a trained social anthropologist, has a music degree from Rauland and was formerly a member of the folk music group Blåmann Blåmann. She has also won the national flute competition four times.
