A concert with ‘House of Elvis’ is probably the closest you'll get to an Elvis experience today. This extended quartet plays the music of Elvis Presley in near-original garb, with an emphasis on songs from the early years of the rock king's career. Visually, there's a bit of restraint; tight leather suits, karate-inspired suits adorned with jewellery are conspicuous by their absence, and hip wiggling is kept to a minimum. The music and presence is what counts.
The group was started as a side project for Frode ‘Froddi’ Rønli, who was a big Elvis fan himself. After his passing in 2022, the microphone stand was taken over by Ole Alexander Mæland (Stavangerkameratene), and the rest of the group remains the same: guitarist Alf Terje Hana (Athana, Leif & Kompisane, Wasaband), double bassist Øystein Eldøy (Stavangerensemblet, Armar & Bein), drummer Per Vervik (Reidar Larsen, Sardines), and backing singers Camilla Myrås and Trine Kvitno.
