Ida Stein releases her debut album “Bring It On” — celebrated with a release concert at Checkpoint Charlie on 28 November!

After several critically acclaimed singles and widespread attention from both Norwegian and international media, Ida Stein is finally ready to present her long-awaited debut album Bring It On. The release will be marked with a small series of concerts at selected venues this autumn and winter.

Self-produced, the album marks a new chapter for the artist, who has established herself as a distinctive voice in Norwegian music.

Bring It On is the result of years of artistic exploration, created in close collaboration with Werner Peschut and featuring contributions from musicians Ida has performed with in various live constellations. She has taken full control of both production and mixing and is releasing the album on her own label, Silver Shapes Records.

The title Bring It On embodies both a personal declaration of strength and freedom, and a critique of social structures and who gets to have a voice. The music explores themes of resistance, independence, and empowerment — conveyed with a voice that is both vulnerable and determined.

With roots in electronica, jazz, and alternative pop, Ida Stein has been described by NRK P3 as “the new sound of the Nordics”, been a finalist in P3 Urørt, topped Apple Music’s electronic chart with her EP Changing, and had her music featured in NRK’s Unge Lovende and Netflix’s El Club. Her sound has been compared to artists such as Björk, Chelsea Wolfe, and Angel Olsen.

Ida Stein has previously played at by:Larm, Slottsfjell, and clubs across Norway and Germany, sharing the stage with artists like Veronica Maggio, Sheppard, and Seinabo Sey. She is also active as a DJ, vocalist, and producer in the club-oriented duo SYNK, with releases on Full Pupp, Mhost Likely, and Everyone on Acid, and performances at HotHotHot, Stavernfestivalen, and by:Larm.

The release of Bring It On will be celebrated with concerts including Landmark (Bergen), Parkteatret (Oslo), Checkpoint (Stavanger), and an exclusive hometown show in Sandefjord. More dates to be announced soon.

With this album, Ida Stein opens a new chapter — tender, powerful, and with an international outlook.
