Welcome to a lecture with John Hammersmark. 

Based on many years of military service and civilian career, Hammersmark contributes with experiences and reflections that are relevant to both business and organisations.

Hammersmark's many years of service in the Norwegian Defence Special Command enable him to offer a range of considerations, opinions and advice on what it takes for both individuals and the collaboration between them to function optimally - even when one fails. The lessons learnt are relevant everywhere.

The lecture
We have to go back 30,000 years to understand ourselves and our challenges in today's safe society. Why do we have seemingly irrational fears and anxieties, and why do we react as we do. How can we counteract our emotional and habitual reactions? What can we learn from high performance teams to optimise goal achievement through
job satisfaction, growth and fulfilment.

You can set high standards and still be friendly and enjoy yourself at work. Why values, collaboration, social safety, caring, trust, difference, learning and change are essential ingredients in the development of high-performance teams and effective organisations. The mentality and philosophy of taking on new goals, not giving up and using your resources smartly.
