Knut Anders Sørum

Knut Anders Sørum is known for his beautiful voice, warm personality, and powerful yet thoughtful songs. He is considered one of Norway’s finest vocalists—so much so that he has even created his own genre: Soul in the Toten Dialect!

The seasoned musician and songwriter has had a long career, performing in multiple rock bands, representing Norway in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, and serving as a vocalist for Skal vi danse on TV2. However, it was his breathtaking performance of Puccini’s "Nessun Dorma" that won him NRK’s Stjernekamp in 2016, cementing his reputation as a vocal powerhouse.

His music has been described as "Prøysen meets John Legend", a fitting comparison, as both are key inspirations reflected in his many albums.

Sørum performs in various settings, but this time, he is touring with an exceptional trio:

Asphol has worked with Sørum for over 20 years, having first joined his band Expect a Miracle as a stand-in guitarist during a concert in Sweden. It was also Asphol who discovered Medhaug, the talented young organist, playing a massive Hammond organ at Oslo Spektrum.

This trio concert format brings a fresh take on Sørum’s music. Through bass drum and loop machines, the songs gain a new dynamic, allowing the audience to experience the music in an intimate and immersive way. While the groove is still there, this setup offers a more exclusive listening experience, highlighting the depth and emotion of each song.

Expect a carefully curated setlist of Sørum’s finest tracks—and perhaps even a few surprises! These musicians are known for their spontaneity, so anything can happen!

ARE YOU COMING BY TRAIN?

It's not a long walk from Ogna station to Ogna Scene (15 min) but with Ogna Scene's Shuttle bus service, they pick up and drop off their fantastic audience members who are going to Ogna Scene at Ogna train station completely free of charge.

They arrange it so that those who take the train from Stavanger will be picked up at 18.50 (approx.). From Egersund 19.36 (approx.).

They will also bring you to the station after the concert.

Ogna Scene wants to make it easy and comfortable for you.

NB. They only have one car... If there are many people to be driven, there may be a 5-10 minute wait.
