Mai:Jazz 2025 Presents Kåre Kolve Fusion Quintet

The quintet features some of Norway’s most renowned musicians. Kåre Kolve on saxophone is known for collaborations with Mezzoforte, Randy Crawford, and Lava. Drummer Torstein Lofthus has played with Elephant9, Shining, and Red Kite. Bassist Jonny Sjo is a member of D’Sound and Lava. Keyboardist Frode Mangen has performed with Ole Børud, Lava, and Bjørn Eidsvåg. Guitarist Bernt Rune Stray is one of Norway’s most sought-after session musicians and songwriters.
