Maijazz 2025 presents Knut Reiersrud Band

Knut Reiersrud is a pillar of Norwegian music, a dynamic and distinctive guitarist who brings his instrument to life. As both a guitarist and composer, Reiersrud demonstrates remarkable versatility, seamlessly blending blues, jazz, rock, Norwegian folk, and world music influences.

Knut Reiersrud Band consists of some of Norway's finest and most dedicated musicians. Keyboardist David Wallumrød, bassist Bjørn Holm, and drummer Andreas Bye form an elite ensemble of Norwegian musical talent.

Reiersrud's musical journey began early, initially gaining recognition as a blues musician. He has collaborated with international stars such as David Lindley, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Rickie Lee Jones, and Nina Hagen, as well as Norwegian musicians like organist Iver Kleive.

His relentless dedication has earned him multiple Spellemann Awards. This will be a concert filled with atmosphere and musical brilliance!
