Fergus McCreadie Trio. The Fergus McCreadie Trio is one of Scotland's most exciting bands. The band has performed at jazz festivals such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife, Aberdeen and the Isle of Islay several times to brilliant reception. The trio's music is deeply inspired by both jazz and Scottish folk. They take the improvisation and the harmony of jazz, but with hints of folk melodies and rhythm. The band is inspired by artists such as Keith Jarrett, Pat Metheny and Jan Garbarek, as well as folk musicians such as the Gloaming and Lau.

Tor Hammerø about Fergus McCreadie trio:
McCreadie is a virile and technically advanced pianist who, with the help of a large dynamic arsenal, shows a great range in his expression. When he gets extraordinarily empathetic assistance from bassist David Bowden and drummer Stephen Henderson, neither of whom has managed to turn 30 yet, he has the power to create a quite unique and sometimes violent trio expression.
