About the artists
Ensemble Nereides consists of French-Italian soprano Héloïse Baldelli, Slovak mezzo-soprano Izabela Maroun, and Estonian pianist Laura Kern.

Drawing inspiration from the musical traditions of their home countries, they find common ground in classical culture. In Greek mythology, the Nereides were sea nymphs who sang with melodious voices and danced in the moonlight. They symbolised beauty and kindness, and were believed to aid sailors in need.

While rooted in classical tradition, the three musicians love experimenting across genres. They have a special flair for the comic and theatrical, and shine in cabaret and operetta. At the same time, they interpret romantic opera, art songs and musicals with elegance and deep emotion.
