Night creates a quiet and contemplative space where the soul finds its voice. The project Songs Before Sleep takes you into the world of the night, where you can listen for whispers of dreams, stars, darkness, the sky, prayers, the moon, or fireflies. A unique collection of pieces inspired by the night.

Laura Lovišková is a Slovak flautist based in Stavanger. She has studied at the Faculty of Performing Arts at UiS (Master’s degree, Postgraduate Diploma in Performance, and further education). She also works as a flute and piano teacher at Sola Cultural School and as a freelance musician. Since last year, she has been a flautist in Opera Rogaland Sinfonietta and a substitute flautist in the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra.

Mezzo-soprano Izabela Maroun is an active singer based in Stavanger. Educated at the University of Stavanger, she has established herself as both an oratorio and concert singer. She has performed with Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Sandnes Symphony Orchestra, and Bjergsted Symphony Orchestra. She has also appeared at music festivals in Bratislava, Palermo, and Norway, including the Oslo Opera Festival and the Youth Chamber Music Festival in Stavanger.
