In the 1970s, brothers Harald and Johs Ringås began unearthing Stavanger’s hidden treasure trove of songs.
They have continued this work ever since, resulting in numerous album releases, radio and TV programmes, theatre cabarets, and concerts over the years.

For them, Stavanger songs are much more than simple odes to the city. They are, above all, songs that tell stories about Stavanger, reflecting its identity and history: songs about canning, politics, herring, steamships, sailing ships, drinking, temperance, murder, oil, potato dumplings, crabs, ducks, city planning, buses, songs by Zetlitz, songs about Kielland, about Lenden ...

You are warmly invited to a concert where words and music bring Stavanger to life across four centuries: the 1700s, 1800s, 1900s and 2000s!

Performers:
– Harald Ringås: vocals, double bass, guitar
– Johs Ringås: vocals, guitar, banjo
