During the concert, we will hear soprano Eir Inderhaug, acclaimed both in Norway and on European opera stages. The programme includes selections from Maria Schneider’s Grammy Award-winning Winter Morning Walks and Quadrille from Carlos Drummond de Andrade Stories. Several American critics have hailed this album as placing Maria Schneider among the greatest living composers in the United States.
Dysfunctional Dancemusic for Unemployed Academics II is a five-movement suite for piano quintet composed by Norwegian Sverre Indris Joner, considered a pioneer of Latin American music in Norway. He studied music at the University of Oslo and attended Conservatorio Cervantes in Havana.
