In this concert, Stavanger Concert Hall shine a light on the role of the mother in classical music, exploring motherhood in all its facets – from lieder to opera and instrumental works. One will encounter everything from joyful new mothers and those who sacrifice everything for their children, to lullabies and love songs from children to their mothers. The programme includes music by, among others, Dvořák, Schumann, Verdi, Puccini, and Ravel.
