Vidar Furholt – Concert in the Foyer
Vidar Furholt is a singer-songwriter originally from Southern Norway, though he has lived in Stavanger for the past 25 years. His most recent album, Slippe taket, was well received, with several songs from this and previous releases aired on NRK P1’s local radio stations. Stavanger Aftenblad awarded the album 5 out of 6 stars and wrote:
“Most of the songs deal with love – or the lack of it. Not exactly new themes in folk music, but Furholt still manages to make it sound original. [...] Furholt stands firmly on his own feet, but if I were to compare, it would be to Bjørn Eidsvåg.”

Furholt is known for heartfelt lyrics, wrapped in beautiful melodies and arrangements. He tells stories with warmth and humour, both in and between songs, inviting the audience on a moving journey filled with smiles, laughter, reflection – and perhaps a few tears.
