Svein Ivar Langhelle is coming to Randaberg to take us back to the time of Hans Nielsen Hauge and the influence of Haugeanism in Western Norway.

Langhelle bases his book on extensive studies of fascinating local source material that has never been published before. While the book’s primary geographical focus is Rogaland, it also explores how Hans Nielsen Hauge’s legacy shaped communities further south in Agder and north along Western Norway. In the coastal areas of Northern Rogaland, the Haugeans seem to have significantly accelerated economic development, he writes.

The lecture is a collaboration between Randaberg Public Library and Randaberg Historical Society.
