Bråsteinsvatnet lake
At Bråsteinsvatnet the surroundings are idyllic, it is a nice swimming area in the summer and sometimes you can go skating in the winter. Also a good fishing lake. It is a very family-friendly area.
Bråsteinvatnet is a great place to swim, go hiking and fishing. When it is cold enough in the winter, the lake is suitable for skating. There is free fishing in some areas around the lake (the publically owned). It is permitted to fish for inland fish (except for eels that are protected) with a rod or hand line all year round.
It is otherwise well equipped with seating areas and a barbecue, so you could enjoy the whole day at the lake and swim, barbecue and relax with the whole family.
You can also find several hiking trails from here into Melsheia and to the Rogaland Arboretum.
