Monument of the author Åse-Marie Nesse (1934-2001) from Klepp. She wrote novels and poems. Åse-Marie Nesse was further a recognised translator of German literature to Norwegian.
Åse-Marie Nesse had a large collection of poems and novels. Nesse also edited anthologies, translated novels and plays and she rewrote poems. The author further wrote children's books and plays. The most known children's book is Mexico-Lexico. The book was also made into a family play.
In 2007, the female author was commemorated with the monument Ein plass for poesi (A place for poetry). The monument was made in granite by the artist Marit Lyckander, and it's located on a viewing point west of Klepp church. A pleasant spot to sit down and watch the sea.
